En Avant La Zizique ! Records & Music Maker Relief Foundation present a brand new collaboration: Grotto Session.
The Music Maker Relief Foundation, is non-governmental organization. It was founded to preserve the musical traditions of the South by directly supporting the musicians who make it, ensuring their voices will not be silenced by poverty and time. Music Maker will give future generations access to their heritage through documentation and performance programs that build knowledge and appreciation of America’s musical traditions.

Original blues & gospel from Music Maker 's archives, Grotto Session illustrates the true sound of the deep south re-imaginated by three young musicians to celebrate the 25th birthday's foundation. Only released as digital files til now, EALZ! Records have been chosen by MMRF to produce an exclusive physical album.

The funky French duo is back with a new 7inch! Once again, DjeuhDjoah & Lieutenant Nicholson push the boundaries of the traditional "French song" to make the world dance. Two funky electronic flow, ready to electrify clubs worldwide. Our two "chansonniers" are the leaders of "Afropeanité" and the Creolity. The song "Pas si vite" champions deceleration and positivity during our complex period. "Caipirinha" is a soft tribute to Bossa Nova, the dream of hot and sweet destination in a cold winter. Recorded at « Le Triangle des Bermudes » the home studio of Lieutenant Nicholson, produced and mixed by him with a electro analog sound dear to them. Horns, live drums, percussions and vocal choir were recorded at Bastille village at the label basement, even during the pandemic… Mastered by Frank Merritt at The Carvery ( London). Singles taken from the album 2+ planned for Nov 4th 2022.

The Panturas Sundancer

Lasut Nyanggut / Dedare Tanjung…

Split Single from the garage combo of The Panturas and Sundancer sung entirely on their regional language. An exclusive 7” split from Indonesian surf-garage-rock behemoth The Panturas and Sundancer, hailing from Jatinangor and Lombok Respectively. It was the first series from their upcoming “"Singel Klub" series."Lasut Nyanggut" by The Panturas their first song sung entirely in Sundanese language. The band appointed Ricky Virgana from White Shoes and The Couples Company fame to be their producer, and successfully produced a garage psych-surf-calypso with a mixture of traditional oriental sundanese pop aesthetics. The lyrics of the song itself paints a picture of someone fishing.The title itself is a popular term among fishing enthusiast on the western parts of Java.“Dedare Tanjung” or “Gadis Tanjung” roughly translates to “the girl on the cape”, was inspired from “Dark Eyes” a russian folk song and Ismail Marzuki’s very own “Panon Hideung” which is a song sung in Sundanese language. The band translates the song to their own mother tongue language which is the Sasak, a language that the band originated from.

The album follows the release last year of their acclaimed Kevin Parker (of Tame Impala fame) produced debut EP which showcased the multiple talents and obsessions of its leader: psychedelism, glam rock, world music and experimental pop.The 10-track album, Produced and mixed by Nicolas Vernhes (Animal Collective, Dirty Projectors, and Deerhunter), also features Melody’s Echo Chamber (for whom he played guitar during her previous tour), Didier Malherbe (Gong), Riff Cohen and his own father, cult jazz saxophone player Jean-Marc Padovani.Filled with unorthodox scales and asymmetric time signatures, yet remaining highly musical and fluid, it incorporates oriental instruments and melodies into more classic pop arrangements - feeding analog synthesisers and off-kilter electric guitars through Leslie cabinets and echo chambers it falls somewhere between the melodies of Robert Wyatt and the dream-like psychedelia of Connan Mockasin.
