SOHAN WILSON is a very talented composer and arranger from Switzerland . He’s also half of Keys of Lynx duo that delivered an awesome ep 2 years ago on Visions Inc.

This is his first solo single project taken from his forthcoming “ Love is the key “ album due later this year .

Sohan is into soul, jazz funk and grooves . On the A side he delivers a killer dancefloor journey into future jazz funk fusion playing keys , piano and a mad bassline with attitude and grace. Followed by Brazilian maestro Zopelar on the remix duties and you got already a dope first taste of what s coming soon on the album.

On the b side Sohan collaboration with Dwight Trible is just a perfect combination between soul boogie 80’ s vibe with a jazz feel . Then Alex Attias took the stems and made his version between a remix and an edit and the single is now complete with two mellow jams for the ears and legs .

Deux Filles was not, in fact, two girls despite what the group name and its elaborate hoax of a backstory suggest. No, they were not Gemini Forque and Claudine Coule, French women who met as teenagers under tragic circumstances and became fast friends, recording two albums together before disappearing into the ether. In reality, Deux Filles was Simon Fisher Turner and Colin Lloyd Tucker, a UK duo who first worked together in an early incarnation of The The. Straddling the line between experimental and pop, Turner was an actor and teen singing star who later composed soundtracks for the iconic queer filmmaker Derek Jarman while Tucker’s career began as an engineer for the famed UK library music studio, De Wolfe, before forming experimental wave group The Gadgets. In Deux Filles, the duo found an outlet for their least commercial tendencies, combining lo-fi proto-dream-pop instrumentals with samples, tape experiments, ambient textures, and drum machines. Even in the vibrant, seemingly endless well of UK DIY, Deux Filles stand out.Double Happiness is the duo’s second album, originally released in 1983 on their own imprint, Papier Maché. Full of meandering guitar and with a more ominous tone than the debut, the album is recommended for fans of Durutti Column and Thomas Leer & Robert Rental’s The Bridge.
For the second chapter of his odyssey, we find again Le Commandant Couche Tôt in the middle of the Amazon River, escaping from drones and wildfires in a hovercraft.Une Histoire d’Amour Brésilienne (A brazilian love story) shares a dystopian vision widely inspired by the environmental issues of 2020 and 2021, which illustrates a form of anxiety toward the future. Its soundtrack however is purposely the antithesis of the story: a very optimistic tribute to space-disco and brazilian funk. A “good vibe” pill to give hope for a new beginning.
Forward Kwenda was born in the Buhera area of Manicaland, Zimbabwe. This area is known for its fierce resistance to colonial rulers and respect for Shona tradition. Forward Kwenda has always played Mbira, for the spirits, the ancestors, the land of Zimbabwe and the world around it. An undisputed master of this eminently spiritual instrument, he has developed a complex and unique melodic technique that has led him to perform and teach in the United States, Europe and Japan. The EP Chawapiwa is the result of a collaboration with two of his students: Yann Dubois and Shiho Manabe. The B-Side of this 12” is a remix and a loving tribute to Zimbabwe by Dj Oil, a french producer and dj, and a true veteran of the underground music and party scene in his native Marseille, Lionel Corsini, aka DJ Oil released his well-received solo debut as recently as 2012 (Black Notes for French label Discograph) but is probably better known as one part of The Troublemakers, who had the (probably unique?) distinction of being signed to both the legendary ‘90s house label Guidance and the most famous of all jazz labels, Blue Note. The cover artwork is taken from Georgina Maxim's work: "Letters I wasn't supposed to read". Presented as textile sculptures like a diary made from second-hand clothes, the pieces bear the history and memory of the ghost corps that once wore them. Georgina Maxim lives and works in Zimbabwe where she founded the artistic collective, Village Unhu. The visual adaptation and screen-printing was done by Vivien Le Jeune Durhin from PPP studio, Paris. This is a screenprinted limited edition release of 100 copies.
Soundclash or romance? Androo versus Bony Fly have composed six tracks finely balanced between the care given to sound experimentation and the explosive ardor of the dancefloor. Love Affair EP was born from this particular research, the fruit of a common passion for dub music, dancehall and its infinite variations. Radical and popular, the EP carries within it this generous and spontaneous quest for dance, naturally provoking body movements. It is also combined with a particular attention to sound textures, subtle and harmonious, whose multiple references (to jazz in particular) testify to an overflowing curiosity.
Completing the recent LP reissue of Black Voices by Tony Allen, Comet presents a 2 tracks remix EP by Folamour and NIT. The two rising French producers provide great new versions of “Get Together” and “The Same Blood”.FOLAMOUR: Behind this surprising name is hidden one of the main House producer and DJ from France. Label manager of the amazing record labels Moonrise Hill Material and FHUO Records, the artist using lots of different aliases has already burnt most of the best dancefloors in Europe and beyond. 2017 has been an important year in his career with releases on Church and Glitterbox labels, and a debut album on Moonrise Hill Material and Classic Music Company, after a whole series of successful records on quality labels such as All City Records, Fauxpas Musik and Sleazy Beats Recordings. Working on his second album after two EPs upcoming soon, it makes no doubt that it's only the beginning for Folamour.NIT: NIT is the studio project of the French musician Corentin Kerdraon. After several years working at radios in Paris he released a first EP called Dessous de Plage in May 2017, displaying condensed grooves with multiple references, from Jean-Claude Vannier to Dam Funk... Alternating Pop projects and more experimental compositions he's present on different musical scenes as keyboard player and producer. He has just recorded an EP for the American singer COLA BOY released in spring 2018 on the French label Record Makers.
This EP is a tribute to the fantastic world of Tempestaire, which calms thunderstorms, wind and other natural phenomena. Jean Epstein made this film 70 years ago in Brittany, where Ian Tocor was born."When the storm is unleashed, it is in our hearts that we worry, our dreams, our ghosts, our illusions, our utopias, our chimaeras are animated by the wind, a wind which sweeps the bodies like intoxicated through music.
